Maintenance of the Philips EP3341/50 Latte Go coffee machine

Maintenance is just as important as finding the right coffee for your machine. Over time, the extraction quality can deteriorate, and the problem will likely stem from improper maintenance. To avoid this:

• Your coffee water should be filtered  to prevent limescale buildup, as can occur with hard water. This espresso machine with a grinder is  compatible with AquaClean cartridges  : these provide purified water for up to 5,000 cups before  descaling  ( provided the AquaClean cartridge is changed when the machine indicates it is needed).
• The machine will warn you with a light system when descaling is needed. 
• For the nozzles, note that regardless of the beverage being prepared, the EP3341/50 performs an automatic nozzle rinsing  when the machine is switched on, as well as when it is switched off.
• Cleaning the milk system : To prevent the growth of milk bacteria, you should rinse your LatteGo carafe. But don't worry, it couldn't be simpler; the carafe rinses under running tap water. You can even put it  directly  in the dishwasher .

The machine's brewing unit is accessible behind the water tank. It is recommended to rinse it under (not too hot) water once a week. This helps remove coffee residue.
